Friday evening, a 77-year-old man was struck by a car in Newport Beach. He was identified as Carlos Romo; around 8:30 p.m. he was struck on Newport Beach street. He was declared dead on the scene, the coroner’s office reported.
The Police are currently investigating the crash. It is unclear at this time if the driver was cited.
