Last Sunday, 64-year-old Mehrdad Mannani was struck by a vehicle on Mission Viejo street around 7:35 a.m. He was pronounced dead on the street about 13 minutes later according to the coroner.
Officials have yet to release information regarding the cause of the fatal hit. It is unclear whether Mannani was in a crosswalk when he was hit, or if the driver was cited.
The crash is currently under investigation by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
