Passengers Ejected Out Of Vehicle in Suspected DUI

Authorities are investigating a single-vehicle crash in Norco that sent four people to the hospital on the morning of October 19th.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene (westbound 5th St.) after the vehicle, traveling at a high rate of speed, collided with the median causing the vehicle to spin out of control. When officials arrived, they found three victims who had been thrown from the vehicle still in the roadway and a fourth inside a wrecked vehicle.

Officials are still trying to determine if any of the occupants ejected from the vehicle were wearing their seatbelts and their investigation is ongoing. However, the sheriff’s office reports that alcohol, and/or drug impairment appears to be a contributing factor in this collision.

Our thoughts and prayers are with families affected by this tragedy.
