Accident Causes Freeway 55 Morning Traffic to Stall, Motorcyclist Injured

An accident was reported just before 10:00 AM this past Thursday morning on State Route 55. Authorities arrived shortly afterwards to discover a motorcyclist lying injured amidst the southbound lanes near the way to State Route 73 around Costa Mesa.

Witness testimony states that the motorcyclist was involved in a crash, but no other vehicles have been identified at this time. The incident caused 2 lanes of the 55 Freeway to be temporarily shut down, causing a traffic delay.
