Temecula, CA (August 24, 2025, ~9:30 p.m.) A devastating two-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 claimed four lives and injured two others, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A BMW M4, driven northbound near Winchester Road, crossed over the concrete median and entered southbound lanes, where it collided with a Nissan Sentra. Upon impact, the BMW caught fire and was engulfed in flames.
- BMW occupants (all from Moreno Valley):
- 25-year-old male driver rescued by bystanders, critically injured, transported to Inland Valley Medical Center
- 23-year-old female front passenger pronounced dead at the scene
- Two teenage rear passengers (14-year-old boy and 15-year-old girl)—both pronounced dead at the scene
- 25-year-old male driver rescued by bystanders, critically injured, transported to Inland Valley Medical Center
- Nissan occupants (from Wildomar):
- 35-year-old male driver pronounced dead en route to hospital
- 22-year-old male front-seat passenger hospitalized in critical condition
- 35-year-old male driver pronounced dead en route to hospital
Alcohol is not believed to have played a role, though reckless driving remains under investigation. The CHP is pursuing potential charges and encourages witnesses to come forward.
