According to a news report by The Orange County Register, on Wednesday, January 6th, around 1:15 am police found a 50-year old male victim of a pedestrian auto accident. The incident occurred at Harbor Boulevard and Katella Avenue, the pedestrian was struck by a Chevrolet Astro Van after it ran a red-light. The van then crashed into a palm tree in front of a nearby hotel.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver – a 38-year old man from Norwalk – is currently in the hospital with serious injuries, he is also in custody for suspicion of driving under the influence.
