Newport Beach Car Crash Results in Three Dead

As reported by Patch.com on Thursday morning, May 22nd, police said that three people perished after crashing into construction equipment on the Pacific Coast Highway. Additionally, three construction workers sustained minor non-life threatening injuries as a result of the crash. The workers were treated at a local hospital.

The victims were 40, 34, and 32 years of age according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

The crash occurred around 12:45 am on the 3000 block of Pacific Coast Highway while the car was traveling eastbound. Allegedly the car hit a curb and crashed into construction equipment on the south side of the road.

The Pacific Coast Highway from Superior to Riverside had all lanes of traffic blocked as police and accident investigation teams looked into the cause.
