LAPD Pursuit Ends with Cruiser Crashing Into Bobo’s Burgers

A burglary pursuit in South Gate ended with an LAPD cruiser crashing into the side of Bobo’s Hamburgers on Sunday morning, police said. Officers began following two suspected burglars in a gray sedan near Santa Fe Avenue and Slauson Avenue around 7:15 a.m., with reports the suspects may have been armed.

During the chase, a police vehicle was involved in a traffic collision at Firestone Boulevard and Santa Fe Avenue, sending the cruiser through the restaurant’s front wall. Photos from the scene showed the SUV lodged inside the building as multiple units secured the area with caution tape.

Although the burglary suspects managed to escape, LAPD officers arrested a woman on suspicion of grand theft auto in an apparently unrelated incident. Authorities said no injuries were reported, and the investigation remains ongoing.
