An accident on the Interstate 5 Freeway was reported early in the morning on Monday, Sept. 22. It occurred near the Ortega Highway in San Juan Capistrano.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash involved three vehicles: A Ford Bronco, Mercedes, and another undisclosed vehicle. At least 1 person is reported as injured, and their status is not currently known. As a result of this incident, the traffic along the 5 heading south was slow throughout Monday morning.
It is unclear as to what or who was at fault for causing the accident, and authorities report that an investigation is underway. Residents were recommended to steer clear of the area for the moment.
