Taylor grew up in Laguna Hills, California. After living in Southern California her entire life, she decided to go East to college for a different experience. She attended Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. During her time there, she developed a love of travel and obtained her Certified Sommelier certification. Her love of wine continues to this day.
Taylor took three years between college and law school, living in New York City, working in various industries, before she decided to pursue law, motivated by a deep sense of empathy and justice for the underdog. She attended UCLA Law School and gained valuable experience as a summer intern with Judge James R. Dabney, who handled criminal law, and Consumer Watchdogs, a consumer advocacy law firm.
After passing the bar, Taylor joined her father, James Traut, in the Traut Firm. She tried and won her first jury trial within one year of practicing law. Taylor takes a hands-on approach with each case, from interviews, investigation, discovery/depositions, negotiations, and trial preparation. She brings her experience, skills, tenacity, and compassion to every client.
She is known by mediators, arbitrators, and judges for her attention to detail and thorough preparedness for any appearance she makes on behalf of her clients. She is a fierce litigator who always acts in her clients’ best interests, achieving success for even those who are facing tough odds.
When Taylor isn’t working, she enjoys beach days, traveling, photography, trying new restaurants, cooking, and spending time with her husband and five-year-old daughter.
