A 29-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of DUI after a fatal crash that killed one person and injured two others in Santa Ana.
The accident happened just after 2 am on Sunday morning. Jesus Segura Herrera of Orange, who has prior arrests for DUI dating back to 2008, was heading north on Grand Avenue when he rear-ended the victim.
The passenger in the rear of the victim’s vehicle was found trapped in the car after the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased has not yet been identified by the Coroner’s Office. All other parties were immediately transferred to hospital after the collision.
