According to police, a 6 year old boy was killed in a hit and run incident this past Saturday.
The crash happened at around 6:50 PM, when the child was attempting to cross the street in the middle of the 5400 block of University Avenue. He was struck by a vehicle heading westbound, which then fled the scene.
The child was rushed to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Police are still looking for the driver, who is as of this report still unidentified.
