A two vehicle incident Friday night left 3 people critically injured in Orange County.
Reported at around 8:20 PM, the rollover happened on the 73 Freeway in Newport Beach, around the southbound 73 Toll Road at Bonita Canyon.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they discovered the 2 extremely damaged vehicles, along with 3 people trapped inside of them.
According to the firefighters, the accident was upgraded to a Technical Heavy Rescue and a Level 1 Mass Casualty Incident.
All 3 victims were successfully rescued by firefighters, and were each transported to local hospitals in critical condition.
No further information is available at this time, and the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
