A Freeway crash left 1 person dead and several more injured near Irvine Thursday night.
When California Highway Patrol officers arrived at the MacArthur Boulevard ramp from the southbound Freeway at around 10:42 PM, they discovered a minivan and a Caltrans truck that had collided with each other at a high speed.
A victim was pronounced dead on scene by the Orange County Fire Authority, and their identity was not known immediately.
Other news channels reported that at least 4 others were injured in the crash, with a SigAlert being issued for the closure of the road from the 55 Freeway to the 405 Freeway. All lanes were opened again around 7:00 PM.
