Patch reported on Friday, May 27th that a car was being chased by police before it fatally crashed into a tree. The chase occurred Thursday night, May 26th 2022. Authorities say that one of the passengers died and another was injured.
The deceased victim has been identified but the name will not be released until the next of kin has been notified. The injured passenger was taken to a local hospital and their condition is not currently known.
According to police, the crash happened near Hamilton Avenue and Bushard Street around 8 PM.
The crash remains under investigation.
