On the evening of September 26 between the hours of 8pm and 9pm, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Garden Grove, California. First responders arrived on the scene shortly after the collision and transported the victim to the hospital where they were pronounced dead upon arrival.
Police issued a tweet the night of the incident, urging commuters to avoid the intersection while they conducted their investigation. The operator of the vehicle is in custody and cooperating with the Garden Grove Police Department. Neither drugs nor alcohol seem to be a factor during the time of the incident.
