ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Four people were taken to the hospital Wednesday morning following a multi-vehicle crash involving an ambulance in Orange County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, an Apopka Fire Department ambulance was traveling south on Orange Blossom Trail with its lights and sirens activated when it entered the intersection at State Road 414.

At the same time, a 2015 Ford F-250, which had the green light, proceeded through the intersection and was struck by the ambulance. The impact caused the truck to overturn and crash into a 2024 Toyota RAV4.

The driver of the RAV4, a 57-year-old woman from Apopka, was not injured and stayed at the scene.

The crash prompted a roadblock on the eastbound lanes of Apopka Boulevard. The conditions of those taken to the hospital have not been released, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
