A tragic motorcycle accident resulted in a fatality in the morning on Sunday, January 12th in Santa Ana. According to police, the motorcyclist lost control of his vehicle and collided with a pole.
Traveling west on 1st Street from Grand Avenue, the 28-year-old man drifted into the north curb line for an unknown reason, according to authorities. The motorcycle crossed the north sidewalk before hitting a concrete wall and streetlight pole.
When officers arrived just before 11 a.m. the motorcyclist was transported to OC Global Medical Center with traumatic injuries. He was pronounced dead just under an hour later.
