Celsa Anaya, age 58, was crossing the street at Katella Avenue and Glassell Street in Orange, CA at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 23rd when she was struck by a truck at the crosswalk. The driver fled the scene immediately after the incident.
Mrs. Anaya was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries. Mrs. Anaya later died in hospital from her injuries.
The family reports that Celsa Anaya (mother of six with 10 grandchildren). was transferring between buses on her way to work in Irvine.
The investigation is still ongoing and both authorities and the family are asking the public for any information about this tragedy.
