As reported by Patch, an 8-year-old boy was hit by a pickup truck on the morning of Thursday, September 1st, 2022. The accident occurred in Coto de Caza Drive around 7:25am.
The boy who has not been identified by authorities was riding his bike west and was hit by a 1999 Ford F-150 traveling eastbound. The boy was taken to Mission Hospital where surgery was required but the degree of his injuries are currently unknown.
The driver of the truck remained at the scene after the accident. According to authorities, the driver was cooperative. Drugs and alcohol are not suspected but remains under review.
